Oh yeah, and I also never made claims to know or work in the business, sorry if I don't understand how bookings are made. I figured since Armin is already touring and has a few weekend slots open, that he and his agent would be more than willing to have him play, of course if his fee is paid, but that is probably too simple and there is more politics involved.
Anyway, don’t take it too personal. Armin will sell out the place and will make everyone very happy, while I sleep to go to work (not your fault)!

The people that are fortunate to attend these two parties will be in for a treat, Armin at Ruby Skye is GREAT!!! |
I can understand your frustration some my favorite DJs are Carl Cox, Plastikman and Sven Vath. They rarely come to SF. In fact AvB has probably been here more times in the past 10 years than the 3 of them combined.
I didn't take it personally at all in fact my response really is a model that applies to most big artists, I would have responded the same way since this is pretty much the same scenario in many cities. There are just too many obvious variables that don't fall solely on the promoter or venue.
Plus DJing isn't the only thing that has to be considered in his schedule. Do you think that the promoters were just like "Hey Armin you better play Tuesday and Wednesday or don't come at all" |

Yes, I'm just going to do a light opening a lot like the first hour of my NYE set. Downtempo, Funk, etc.
We don't know the exact slots yet, but Dave made a good assumption. |

We are coming out of retirement to Armin for my 30th birthday that is May 21st, and it'd be nice to hear you spin after such a long hiatus Isa and I have had :) |

I'd love to go, but I dont want to cough up over over 50 dollars if Armin is only going to spin for 2 hours or less. If the club closes at 3-4am for the 18+ event, then there'd be a good chance his set will be longer than 2 hours...then I'd definitely buy my ticket for sure. |
