Heart Warming

Does anybody know any information about this phenomena? It seems to happen to me periodically, and it doesn't seem to be caused by anything specifically. It seems like it most often happens when talking to someone in person, but there doesn't seem to be a common trend with what type of person it happens with. It's happened with me with various girls, but it's also happened with complete strangers. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but it's an actual warm feeling centered in your chest, and is actually quite a pleasant sensation.
I tried looking it up online, but to no avail. I'm just trying to get a picture of the physiological cause of it, and what is actually happening that causes the inside of your chest to feel warm.
Edit: It's worth noting that it typically seems to happen more often with people I don't know, or people who I don't have any type of feelings for (co-workers, etc.). |

| I don't think you have nerve endings on your heart so you shouldn't be able to detect a temperature change in your heart. |

| See I don't even know if it's really in the heart or around the heart or even related to the heart at all. I've just heard the phrase "heart-warming" and it at least sounds like a real phenomena, as the sensation is located only in the chest. Maybe it's lung-warming :tongue2 |

| Yeah, no dice. It is definitely actually triggered by the interactions with other people, so it's definitely not IBS. It's also not unpleasant; quite the contrary actually. Maybe warming is actually the wrong word. It's just a kind of overall pleasant feeling, kind of like an opiate high almost. |

Yeah, it comes from realizing that maybe Christmas, perhaps, doesn't come from a store/ maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
My understanding is that the standard treatment is to carve the roast beast. |

| My best guess is a neurotransmitter or hormonal release due to a positive social interaction. Have you noticed and particular topics in coversation that bring it about? |

| Not really any particular topics, but it seems like it tends to happen with people who have particularly calming/soothing voices. It doesn't happen with all people with soothing voices though, so it doesn't seem like that's necessarily the cause of it. |
