1.99 for a kick loop? Im shocked at where this business is going. no way in hell am i going to be part of this. my tracks from here on will be shared for free for eternity.

Anytime its a beatport competition with their buy stems thing, my reply is pretty much " off"
Rodri Santos
they should pay to the remixers not the remixers to them.

Well, to take back some of my negativeness, I'm gonna say that buying the original track PLUS the remix pack for 3.48 € is not that bad anymore.
Particularly, if it was a track that I really really liked and would want to have the change to remix and learn how the track itself was done, I'd be glad to pay a little for it.

But then again, it all comes down to principles. And since this seems to be the way this "industry" is going, I would more than gladly take the route that doesn't encourage this kind of "industry". It's not much, but it's something.

To the OP:

Why not just give the remix parts for free for everyone who is willing to remix your artists' work?

I can recall a certain remix contest, where the parts had to be bought too. I remember many of the remixers in the contest thought it was kind of funny the original artist's own remix eventually "won" the contest..

i don't know why but in this kind of contests always the most generic an unoriginal remix wins, you feel like thinking " i worked so hard, this is nowhere similar to the original and still isn't good enough for them"

ha! been there for sure...=/

awesome! this is an amazing step after posting them on Beatport initially -- never heard of anyone doing that. bravo, quite impressed.

and -- Ticon tunes are SICK, wonderful stuff, so it's great that this opens it up to more people to put their spin on the tune...

cheers!

and much <3 for Ticon!
