yeah, their new software makes it difficult to get a set up there without it recognizing the first song and deeming it a copyright infringement, although some seem to get away with it, i haven't been able to more than half the time recently.
i switched to mixcloud (shameless plug - http://www.mixcloud.com/jdub889) which is quite good for DJ sets. |

Try reconverting your music files. It seems to get around the copyright quite well for me.
What's your opinions on mixcloud? I was looking at the other day. Better or worse the soundcloud? |

no, no downloading on mixcloud. what i do is upload to a different site like divshare or mediafire and then include the download link in the description. another limitation is that your mixes have to be less than 100 mb, which means an hour-long mix has to be in 192 rather than 320 :(
i still like mixcloud a lot, although i preferred soundcloud for the above reasons (then again, on soundcloud you could only upload so much with a free account). |

The big difference with Mixcloud is they've got a radio licence, which means it's completely legal to upload mixes there (as opposed to most other sites, including SoundCloud, where it's technically illegal in most countries). The artists behind the tracks you include on your mixes get royalties every time someone listens to your mix.
That licence is also why you can't download - because their licence only allows online streaming - but I can imagine they might extend their licence to allow downloading (maybe for some kind of subscription account) if there was enough interest. |

| if only mixcloud where an app instead of a website where i could queue mixes for streaming and . on the mobile. it would rock. |
