Diplo is much more well known. He produced MIA, and Major Lazer's album was a bit of a chart hit (although utterly ). |

You brought up their relative popularity. Where are the most popular DJs on the DJmag poll? Closer to the top. Guetta, Tiesto, Armin. All the most popular commercially, and all are close to the top. Everyone knows the DJmag pole is a popularity contest, so I don't really see how it's not relevant in this case.
But of course, me supposing that SP being ranked on a publicly voted on list might have a correlation with his popularity must mean that I myself take that list as gospel, right? :rolleyes: |

They're both , but I guarantee Simon Patterson makes more per gig, and the djmag polls are completely relevant to DJs earnings for gigs. If you can slap "DJmag ranked #29" on the bill, the people who don't know that the djmag poll is bull will think "oh, he must be good then."
