This is funny because I even decided not to actually embed it but to only link it just to see if you wouldn't complain, but I guess I was wrong. What better way to show this user The Basement than with a video? Maybe I should have linked someone else’s video, but there’s pretty much none and I can’t even find or even a website for that club. So here again we fall back on my video.
You sure I shouldn't perhaps submit my posts for your approval before I post? This way they’ll meet up to your standards and you won’t feel compelled to negatively comment on them as you do many times before. As for the videos? If they bother you (and perhaps others) being re-post, then I'll refrain from posting or even mentioning them again after the initial post.
Clearly they are of great concern to you. |

i just find it annoying when you feel the need to post one of your videos once someone mentions a venue or a dj.
maybe shaya, jill, john mitchell and myself should repost a photo album every time someone mentions a dj or venue that we've shot.... |

It sure would bring back memories, but unfortunately those pictures are a dime a dosen as there's literally thousands of them in the TA archives. Sure some are unique, but most are too similar. Same ppl, same poses, etc. No disrespect intended to the hard work you guys put in with the hours you spend taking them, but the shear numbers dictate that fact. The videos (or DJ mixes for that matter), on the other hand are different. It doesn't matter who videoed whom at the time, as they are fun to watch. Kotsy has about a million by now and it wouldn't, at least I think it wouldn't, bother most of us if he, Coxx or anyone else would dig one up and refresh our memories of what went on that night a particular DJ was last in town.
For what it's worth, I do these videos because I like the fact that most people like them. That's my reward. Several hundred hours recording, and several thousand hours editing and all for no money. These videos aren't the 5 minute jobs but more like half to an hour long. So for all my hard work for making others happy to watch them, I may drop an embed every so often just to help promote them or to add some excitement to an upcoming event.
For the probably hundreds if not a few thousand posts weekly in TA you might pick up maybe one or two of the videos re-post by me... is it really that bad? |

Don't see whats "desperate" in this case. Dude was asking about the Basement, so Prometheus posted a video of it (not even an embedded video that slows down your computer, just a link). |

It's a shame that you consider these couple posts as an act of desperation. Self promotion? Sure. As for others being "too scared to speak up", I say that's too bad. If someone has a voice then speak up. Unlike you with many of your condescending remarks to so many of our posts, in general I don't answer in such ways. If I'm in error and too many others post their opinions and think the same way as you, then at least I'll know I'm somehow in the wrong and will correct as such. Unfortunately the only feedback I ever hear about this subject is from you. So I take it with a grain of salt instead of treating your comments as good sound advice. |
