1st time seeing oakenfold

hey wassup guyz
tonite i will see paul oakenfold spin for the 1st time, i heard all his live sets and even seen videoz so im pretty excited. how did you guyz feel when u first saw him spin? is he as good as everyone sez he is? i saw him blow the friggin crowd up at miami.. =)

ah yes...oakie usually spins quite the impressive set! i'm sure you'll enjoy his mixin' on the tables. hehe. hopefully he won't be in a bad mood or somethin', cause he can get like that sometimes and not perform as well as he usually does. ;)

| Yea, I went to Oakie's rave last thanksgiving. It was my first and also my best rave experience so far. When he played Seven Cities by Solar Stone, it totally blew my mind. I almost cried. |

Have a good time dude. Oakie was also my first time at a rave, he blew me on my ass. He has this trademark bass line. lol. He's known for having a so-so first couple of hours, then knocking you on the floor come the last couple of hours.
Listen for Flesh, its his newest production track, it's a great track. Some people can't stand Joakenfold, but I think he's pure class.

i seen hime a 3 times...and one time he wasnt good at all very boring..and the other 2 times he was Amazing!...it depends on the night..but he probably play the similar tracks from Ultra which are kick ass!!!

| Yeah Im seeing him this Sat in Detroit. 2nd time. Should be fun, I am definitely looking forward to it with the lack of trance in Mich. And possibly some evidence to possible arrogance...hard work. Hes spinning in Toronto, then on to Mich and then again on the 16th. He is by far touring much harder than PvD in the US anyways. PvD will stop by Twilo sometimes, but Oakey has been going strong since last fall. He was in Mich only last November. peace. |

Damn... I saw him @ St. Andrews last Thanksgiving... My first live Trance experience... He was friggin awesome... When he played rendevous (my favorite trance song @ the time) I was in pure heaven...

| Oakie is spinning at Clutch Cargos in Pontiac this coming Saturday. Not sure what time he is coming on. They really aren't advertising it etc, which is pretty strange. I wound up at Clutch last Saturday and saw the fliers there. As far as I know, you don't need tickets or anything; just show up and pay cover. Don't know if you've been to Clutch or not, but I'm not exactly expecting a killer crowd or vibe. By the way, how was he at St. Andrews? I was there a week or two before to see BT. It was so damn hot and packed that I decided to miss Oakenfold. |

I think you do need tickets because it is getting ran through ticketmaster. Which kinda sux because it is hella overpriced. Don't get me wrong $50 isn't too bad, but compared to $35 for St. Andrews, its kind of a rip off.... He was damn good at St. Andrews, BTW. Musta been one of his better nights. I assume, if its anything like the St. Andrews show, that he would start around 12:30. Thats what time it was before, so I doubt he'd change it. Hmmmm... I make it up there, so maybe I'll see ya there! |

| Yeah it is Ticketmaster. And yes 50 dollars is a lot, but only for everyone who heard about it late/procrastinated on the tickets. Cause I paid 25 a couple days after they went on sale. No idea why they are so much more than the St. Andrews event. Although the median price between 50 and 25 would be about 40, so mayeb they didn't jack up prices. I think it will be a pretty good vibe actually, since it won't just be regular club goers, you have to WANT to see Oakey to make it. Although there may be some rich ass newbies due to the 50 charge. Ill be there, and Ill be having a kick ass time no matter what. That WMC vid got me amped. peace. |
