This subject got brought up in the TA Hub chat recently. I can't confirm any of them, but this was what we came up with. I thought I'd see what you make of it. If you have any more info or thoughts please reply thanx:)
Gouryella I know this one is a reference to the afterife in aborigini
Tenshi Angel in Japanese I think, which would explain the japanese symbol on the cd
Walhalla Someone said it's where the norse gods live. I found this extract on a website...
In a largely war-based society such as the Norse, Celts, and Teutons lived, death was viewed as an inevitable, yet not calamitous, portion of Life. In particular, the Norse (later, the Vikings), believed that to expiate yourself in death on the field of battle assured that you would have a place in Walhalla, the Norse paradise; where there would be feasting, gaming, and battle on a daily basis.
So presumably the viking word for heaven?
Ligaya Means Happiness in Filipino (philipines) |

If you're interested in the exact literal meaning:
ten = sky
shi = messenger
So yes, angel is right. The characters are the same for Chinese as it is for Japanese. |

ok who has seen the tenshi video??
You know that the robots are from the Tenshi Corp right?? I never knew it but my friend who is a huge bjork fan showed me a video by her that had herself as a robot being made. The crazy thing though, the robots building her were the same tenshi bots. And what are the words that keep appearing in the video?
In another thousand years we will be machines or gods...
We are on the verge of immortality and perfection...
Tenshi technologies will provide human emotions...
Love
Trust
Dislikment etc etc etc
Machine made decisions...
will bring better results than human ones...
In another thousand years we will be machines or gods...
So i think that the meaning of Tenshi is totally different of what everyone else thinks. Just My oppinion though. |

| OK, just a little doubt that I have in this issue: just how many singles have been edited under the name "Gouryella"? Only the 4 mencioned before or are there some other tunes? (might be a dumb question, but I have it a long time ago...) |

| Also about Ligaya....it is a Filipino name. I had to do a double take when I met her.....she told me that no one even knew how to pronounce it (brownie points) And I can say that the direct meaning of Ligaya in Fil is Happiness. She even said so herself. |

At the beginning of the Yoji Biomehanika remix, someone whispers "Rigaya". I'm still not 100% sure that's correct, so I say it how it looks: "Ligaya". |
