Well, my understanding of the MP3 virus probs for older versions had that it would affect you if, and only if, you use the minibrowser on Winamp...which I don't.
On top of that, from what I could find, the virus, even if it hits you, only *hides* your MP3 files, and then tries to do some nasty things via Outlook Express, which has long been erased from my HD as well...which is a good thing since practically every virus that comes down the pike seems to be tailored for Outlook...yet another reason to avoid MS products when at all possible :D :D :D |

| i installed it, worked no problem. got used to the minor flaws and enjoyed the new cool stuff (multiple playlists! transparency! OMG!). It took me about half an hour to realize i don't have mp3cue and joystick control --> bye bye ! |

| To be fair, how is Winamp3 gonna get 'established' and have loads of skins and plugins if no-one uses the thing? |

| winamp 3 slowed my computer down to a crawl... my old skins looksed like garbage. i wouldn't recommend switching if you have a crappy comp (like me, =P). there are a lot of useless features if you just wanna play music. i switched back to 2.80 after 10 minutes. |
