Was picky as a kid. No onions, tomatoes or cooked veggies or even Chinese food. My mom had to pay me to eat and she'd even put the clock in front of my plate. I did like eating liver and even raw eggs.
Now... I eat everything and I mean pretty much everything and I will always try something I haven't ate. I don't care to eat crab legs cuz I have to struggle to get the meat and I don't care for big chunks of onions in my burgers but I will eat onions.
I think I love all food. :toothless
My brother is still very picky and doesn't really try anything, especially if it has onions. |

This might help:
Try taking a fork and sticking 1 of the tines in and lift up. The leg will crack open easily. Repeat for the entire length of the leg and the full piece of meat should slide right out. You can use scissors as well. |

when i was a kid, i was a picky eater, but now, i eat damn near everything.
There are a few things I don't like that much, but they don't kill me: potroast - something about the flavor I have never really enjoyed and fancy mac and cheese which everyone is obsessed with(everyone loves it, but I just like good old Kraft).
The 1 thing I really REALLY don't like the taste of is Liver. Just tastes nasty.
However, I can be a somewhat picky eater only b/c I try to eat healthily.

i can't stand mayo or baloney. Mostly because i so much baloney sandwiches as a kid, that i forever more loathe them both.
I'll kill any mayonnaise i see with fire (Miracle Whip is good though.)
I don't like cajun food as well. I have alot of Cajun friends that cook alot. I know they are amazing cooks. Everybody loves their food, but i have to struggle and pretend that i like it. I'm all about taking one for the team.
Other than that, i'll eat almost anything. I'm not done with any Fear Factor type though, (which is probably why i dont like Cajun food!) |

Something sparked my interest in this recently. I'm still baffled that some full grown men (aka 30+) are still picky eaters! Don't you know your tastebuds reform every 15-28 days??? All food should be delicious at this stage in life.... Or at least try it every few weeks... you're not 7 anymore! Thoughts????
What DON'T you like, and why... (since most of you are guys on this forum... but I'm also interested in what girls think)
ps. TA has been boring lately :o (also posted this on facebook. heh)
Let's share :p |
Weird stuff. I love all food. |

Picky eaters piss me the off. And whats funny, it seems like I know more picky GUYS then I do girls.
I do understand when there is a GOOD reason for not liking XX, but when I get the simple "I didn't like it" with NO reasoning behind it I am literally
I was "talking" to a girl a few years ago. Finally, we went out on a date. We had gone over the restaurant (that she had gone to before) so I was like...well this will be good. WRONG. Once the menus came out she started complaining about EVERYTHING. She didn't like this or that and she felt the need to want to go somewhere else. After I convincing her to get something (I put her on blast for WANTING to go there), she was still complaining. Add this to her consistent texting to her BFF that we were going to meet up with with in an hour later for drinks (my cell phone was put away), I walked out on her.
I got up, told her that I needed to go to the bathroom. I found our waiter gave him my CC and told him to charge the full dinner and what ever else the she wanted (with in reason) on that card. After leaving the bathroom, I walked out of the restaurant through the kitchen and turned off my phone and drove home.
Funny thing is, she didn't talk to me for 2-3 weeks after that (I didn't contact her during that time) and then out of no where she calls me said she was sorry and asked me out on a date.

Wow, lots of picky eaters here. Won't eat tomatoes? That seems like a pretty basic food to me. I have a feeling that many who wrote they didn't like "seafood" or "Indian food" but will eat anything else have never really tried anything very adventurous. Being open to eating hamburgers OR pizza doesn't count for much.
I'm not surprised though. I work with people from many different cultures. It's very common for people to ONLY eat food from their culture, even if they lived in the US for decades. Even when they go to restaurants it's always the same kind of food. It seems very sad to me, since there is so much variety available in the Bay Area (and in LA too I'm sure). |

| I'll try just about anything. But there is still a lot of stuff I hate. Uni, organs, blood soup, etc. Sorry but there is a lot of nasty out there. But yeah, when it comes to going to a typical restaurant, pretty much anything on the menu is open. |
