That's a very good point. That's kind of what I was alluding to before when I asked "what is normal?" Lots of people have anxiety, and lots of people get depressed. It's almost impossible to define a "normal" person, and many Psychologists/Psychiatrists have been making the case that with the widespread diagnoses of depression, anxiety, etc., one could even make the case that a complete absence of any of the symptoms of these disorders might actually make someone not normal. |

But wouldn't you say it is impossible to control the environment. What I mean is everyone will have a different response to the same situation. The same two people who are chemically equally depressed could respond to it in completely different ways. Who is to say one person is more depressed than the other. Maybe one person is just naturally weaker than the other. |

| She actually moved to Germany just a couple weeks ago. She worked Air Force Intel for 20 years and now in the last decade does counter-terrorism intelligence for some sort of contractor or another. I guess she isn't allowed to tell me much more about it, and I'm also not allowed in Cuba or Egypt. =/ |

I think he meant "environment" as in the environment where the issues were talked about, i.e. therapy. |
