this went down nice, mixing was actually really good but i'm thinking it might have been done digitally or with aid by technology since the bpms were different and you did use the beatmix route? yeah. i think the track selection was a tiny bit on the safe side but i enjoyed the mix in general so my complaint ends there.
i know it's funny with me commenting on a mix like this when i've done a couple and did the same things. so yeah the i don't mean them as slants but more observations. if they were slants i have to then throw rocks in the glass house i don't own and that amount of glass costs more than i can pay for. |

Oh yeah, this was not done on decks at all. Over the years I figure I've done the two-or-three-turntable-tech-house-mix to death, and I'd just become bored to tears. I still enjoy playing, I just haven't had anything in the techno/house/tech house realm that's really pulled my trigger.
As such, I wanted to do something largely different, but failed immensely at accomplishing it solely on decks. As such, this was done in Live 8 session view using a Novation Zero SL MkII MIDI controller, with pretty much no editing in post.
It's not the cleanest, but meh. As far as track selection - yeah, not exactly digging deeper than my music folders from the past decade, but again it was just what I wanted to do.
Glad you enjoyed it m8.
Edit: Also, just so we're clear - at this point there aren't any more opening slots or larger club nights for me. As if it weren't painfully obvious already, this isn't a promo, just something I like to do. |

| Nice mix! Flowed well and I thought it had a very "summery" vibe to it that really fit the sunny day here. |

| You still in the Milwaukee area. I had some funky/deep house mixes you posted here, way back. Tracklist looks badass. |

Thanks guys. Hope it proves enjoyable.
Also, not in Milwaukee at the moment - heading back towards that area/Chicago in the fall. |
