I've been going to dance shows for about 8 years now. I like to go at least once every 3 months. So usually about 4-5 times a year. I wish I could go more often, but getting away from work is a challenge and even more challenging than that, are friends. I do the local usually EDC etc.. And I love travel, so I always try to find a couple of shows a year I have to fly out of state to get to.
None of my friends tend to like electronic music as much as I do. It's hard convincing them to come out with me. I've gone to several shows now all alone, just because I love the music so much and the state of mind I get into. It just takes me away from work, the world, etc.. It's really great. But....there is a but. I truly would enjoy it even more with friends then I do all alone. It gets boring sometimes.

| I used to have the same problem, and would often end up driving up to Montreal to see DJs I really liked because none of my friends wanted to go or were available on a given night. I ended up just making friends up there by talking to strangers, and now have a nice group of people I enjoy meeting up with up there, even outside of parties. I'd say just stay open to people and hopefully you can make friends at your destination without having to bring any along. |

i have found, in my party experience, that if You explain all the details, lead by example (ie- hold the chow door open, to make sure that all of your Team gets fed before you), and set a general outline, known to all before contact with others- that in general it will be good.

you'd have better luck posting this thread in the local west coast forum.
i think if you search the nyc subforum you'll find a huge thread dedicated to this topic.

you really should just end your life now. not anything special, just throw an old walmart bag over your head. somthing just tells me . . . .
edit: BTW, there are no hills in Chino, California, ja stupid .
my advice, if you really are in the desert, drink a bunch of gatorade, afte taking some bisacodyl, be prepared with plenty of toilet paper. hydrate completely, OD on gatorade- sodium and potassium and take vitamins with iron, preferrably centrum. then talk to a Navaho Indian Shaman that is williong to guide you through a a spiritual peyote button/mescaline experience. and come back to TA with some sembelance of a Spiritual journey, before you even post again. amen, and thanx for all teh fishes. |
