Airbase tutorials / method used to record tutorial videos?

Hey guys. I need to devise a way to start recording some Ableton tutorials. There is a lot of stuff I want to cover, and I have a partner who is a DJ that is really behind in production but is learning fast so I am going to start belting out the videos for him -- after that I will put them online, as well. I'm sure there have been threads about which apparatus/method to use for recording these videos (where it records the screen, the audio from Ableton, and the audio from my microphone) but none that I have seen in recent time. As you know, the search function sucks pretty bad so I have resorted to this. The one Jezper uses seems to be really suitable for what I want to do. Any ideas will be helpful.

PC or Mac?

Camstudio?

Vista. Camstudio. Is that what J.S. is using?

Well if it's PC then Camtasia Studio 7 is the only real choice imo.

I still have to faff about recording the computer audio and voice separately but the results are good.

I have to record what comes out of Cubase via ASIO4ALL and the vocal with my MR816 into Audacity (at the same time) and then splice them back together in Camtasia. Luckily the editor in Camtasia is pretty good.

I'm not gonna spam the video here, but if you want to see it i'll link it in.

I thought Airbase was on Mac?

Yeah that's right. Forgot to take that into consideration. I do have ASIO that I can use.

Although most of his vids are recorded on Mac, his studio computer is a PC (as said in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wo2qq5dJXI). There's a comment saying he's using CamStudio, and it's freeware, so I'd give that a try

Can anyone who is new to production or somewhat up-and-coming, or even a newbie, post a few topics they'd be interested in having me cover? I am trying to brainstorm at the moment.

I think a really good topic is arrangement. Everyone seems to have trouble with it from newbs to pros. :P
