Just in-case any of you are interested i am doing a Theravada and Vipassana retreat (not really a retreat more like a temple stay) in northern Chiang Mai (Thailand) for a month.

I did one of those there, I can't remember the temple name but it was in old town chaing mae, I regret not getting a sak yant tattoo with a couple friends once the experience was over. stick to the strict schedule, it gets better after a bit and have fun, it was really a life changing experience for me. If you go up in the mountains for it have fun, it's beautiful as you already know I'm sure!

I am up on the northern parts og Chiang Mai near Burma, so no its not near the disputed Cambodia areas.
I am getting a "Shan" people tattoo next week with 2 suttas to follow, hopefully in Pali.
I am not in the mountains but not oo far away ad hopefully, if i get ordained as a novice, i wil lspend some time with forrest monks up in the mountain regions.
