Hopefully he'll keep it simple, so that it has a trance edge and nothing else. I'm just expecting big room trance though.:(
Lunar Phase 7
I'm with everyone about the DB/JOOF stuff never being great.
The only tune either have ever done that has truly made me think wow was Orga - Laptrancer for DB and Rasa Lila for JOOF.
Subtle
I find Im Not Fooled to be his greatest single, Rasa Lila, Nervous Breakdown and Twister deserves a mention too.

John 00 Fleming - Lost in Emotion (The Digital Blonde Mix)?
Mandrake - Universal Soul (The Digital Blonde Remix)?
Earthbound - Essence of Life (John 00 Fleming Mix)?
X-Cabs - Neuro '99 (John 00 Fleming Mix)?
etc.
You don't find any of these great? :eyespop:
I haven't liked anything from either of them since about 2005 I think but some of the stuff they released in the late 90s and early 00s is absolutely mind blowing. I also liked J00F better as a DJ before he went all psy and I'm hearing he's getting away from psy more and more, so who knows, this might end up being actually good stuff.

What is the single best John Flemming mix out there? Anything on par with the 2007 Danny Howells essential mix?
trance. prog he has always spun but its been second place to trance.
dunno what his best set is. his first two EMs are fantastic (second one much more so imo), and his older radioshows are intensely good for trance (listen to part 1 of his Global Trance Grooves 008 - 9th December 2003 -- one of my favorites).
but there are people in here who could easily point out better/more obscure sets.
his album should be interesting, can't wait for the release.

what do you mean man? when hasn't he played psy -- he's been doing so since the late 90s, no?

Yeah it's funny hearing people moaning about him switching to psy. According to Fleming, "my roots are in Goa." I'm not sure what that means, exactly, but given that he was DJing on Ibiza prior to 1990, it probably means that was his first love, and what he first span.
Trancefxs
In the meanwhile The Digital Blonde already published a short teaser of his own new album to be release this year:

I don't like the sound of the Digital Blonde album at all.
Man, I would be pissed off if my debut solo album had artwork as crappy as Nine Lives does.

errr what were you expecting, him to be wearing a white suit? Maybe praying pose?
Lying spread on a black sofa?
To me this artwork shows the humble man behind the music by not having his face on the cover. Some of the best bands in the World do this, so good call from flemming, I think the music will do the talking on this one.
Cant wait to hear it!

Absolutely correct, the guy who's a fan of John '00' Fleming and started the thread wants some Armin-style artwork. Flawless logic.
No, I'd be after artwork that doesn't look like it's been slapped together in MS Paint. Advance apologies if you're the artist, Pete t. :haha:
