John '00' Fleming - Nine Lives [debut album]

To be released on August 16th, with 14 tracks.
I haven't liked all of John's work, but as I've said recently, I'm glad that firstly, he's finally struck out on his own, and secondly, improved his mixing and mastering methods. I'm reasonably confident this will be up there with the best trance albums of the past five years. I can't believe it's taken him this long to get around to it. Hopefully that means he has something good to say. |

I've never been blown away by his production work, although I did like older tracks like Ariona and his remix of Agnelli & Nelson. The 00.db stuff, while all very dark and credible, has rarely got that spark about it.
Hopefully his solo stuff will have that spark. |

I used to really like his older material, so I'm looking forward to hearing what he can do on this album.
It has taken him a while to get round to it, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait. |

Yeah, I elaborated at length on this last time there was a 00.db thread. While the Digital Blonde is talented, I feel like he gets too caught up in multiple layers of melody and all kinds of unnecessary effects. Temple of Spice and Nervous Breakdown showed me a purer, more focussed sound that Fleming is capable of by himself. More of that, please. |

| I loved his older tracks before he went psy in 2006, hopefully he will go back to the old school sound |

I am looking forward for this release as well.
His latest old school trance sound is amazing; hopefully his new album will follow it too.
Psychedelic trance is cool but I wanna hear new original classic trance sound. |

Is this guy basically the danny howells of prog and trance?
What is the single best John Flemming mix out there? Anything on par with the 2007 Danny Howells essential mix? |

I don't really see any parallels between the two except that they're both good DJs. And Danny Howells used to be a prog and trance DJ.
Just try the Essential Mix from last year. |
