| To be fair, the Empire State Building took 2 years from start to completion. The estimated time for the Freedom Tower is around 7 years I believe. They didn't even begin construction until 2006, and I would imagine 5 years is plenty of time to clear all of the rubble from the WTC collapse. The Freedom Tower is also only planned to be 2 stories taller than the Empire State Building. |

Second 3 new buildings have gone up around WTC including a brand new Path Rail Station
Third the new major bike lane was re-routed around Battery Park and World Financial Center
Forth you go rebuild lower manhattan in 2 years
Fifth OFF ALREADY
all you ing online skeptics don't know about what's gone on down there let a lone the actual logistics in such a populated city so I suggest you keep your passive criticism and mind the business in your own ing city

That's a pretty angry post considering nobody has really been "criticizing" anything, and just asked a question as to why buildings of this stature have been built in about 1/5 the time, 80+ years ago, while the Freedom Tower has officially been "under construction" since 2006, but still isn't estimated to be even close to completion until 2013. I'd post the obligatory "why u mad tho?" picture, but I feel as if you're undeserving of it, since technically there wasn't a single sentence in your entire post. Are you finished yet? I just don't really see an end to your incredibly eloquent post.
And to answer your first statement, nobody did ask you.
Your assumption that "NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THE THEY BE TALKIN BOUT CUZ THEY DON'T LIVE HERE!" is pretty ridiculous as well. I must know absolutely nothing about anything outside of where I live, because how could anyone possibly have any knowledge about something that isn't located in their city of residence?
