| Mothers' Day is ing lame, just like Valentine's. All the restaurants are full of glum-looking people who'd never leave the house on any other day of the year, and only do so on this occasion because they feel they have to. |

| Is fathers day just as ing lame? Don't you have kids? I don't expect much on mothers day but recognition of how much work/care goes into being a (good) mum is always nice. It is the only thing I have taken really seriously in life and I think I'm doing a pretty decent job considering my 5 year old is shaping into a pretty smart, well balanced kid. I tell my kids at least twice a day that I love them and while there is a lot of times I wish I'd be doing things for myself or travelling or just going out. I know spending all this time with them will help them in the future... Lol I'm sure no one really gives a about all this but GUESS WHAT... It's a ing mothers day thread. :gsmile: |

Of course Fathers' Day is just as lame. If you only receive thanks and love from a person who's been told to do it, feels obligated to do it, it's not exactly genuine or heartfelt, is it? |
