Mothers' Day is ing lame, just like Valentine's. All the restaurants are full of glum-looking people who'd never leave the house on any other day of the year, and only do so on this occasion because they feel they have to.

Is fathers day just as ing lame? Don't you have kids? I don't expect much on mothers day but recognition of how much work/care goes into being a (good) mum is always nice. It is the only thing I have taken really seriously in life and I think I'm doing a pretty decent job considering my 5 year old is shaping into a pretty smart, well balanced kid. I tell my kids at least twice a day that I love them and while there is a lot of times I wish I'd be doing things for myself or travelling or just going out. I know spending all this time with them will help them in the future... Lol I'm sure no one really gives a about all this but GUESS WHAT... It's a ing mothers day thread. :gsmile:

Of course Fathers' Day is just as lame. If you only receive thanks and love from a person who's been told to do it, feels obligated to do it, it's not exactly genuine or heartfelt, is it?
