Oliver Cromwell made a lot of Irish people slaves and made them build stone walls around the countryside for no particular reason. They're still standing near Galway. That's one of the many reasons Irish people absolutely hate Cromwell and most British people. That was in the mid 1600s so it's possible some were sent to the British colonies in the Caribbean and southern US as well. I don't recall ever hearing about that, but I wouldn't put it past him.
Edit: I think she was alluding to the fact that it's difficult to point to a "pure" Irish lineage, simply for the fact that Ireland has been conquered so many ing times. My last name actually has Norman roots, and meant "the red-haired one" or something like that. |

Thankfully nobody in my family has red hair. Everyone has Brown hair and green or hazel eyes. Gingers creep me out.

German, Scottish, and something else that causes me to not burn easily. I have an olive-ish skin tone and I tan pretty well if I actually manage to go outside.
I need to go live in BERLIN with my PEOPLE and listen to TECHNO.
They don't care about TANS there.
