I know he's simply explaining the logistics of where the money goes but still... whenever I hear any high profile artist complain about all the money that they lose I kinda roll my eyes
at least he says this:
" . . . but the real value I get out of every aspect of the deal is . . . is that I have millions of people who have supported me and my music over the years. And that, to me, is worth more than all the money in the world."

His light show looks impressive as hell.. just as crazy as the Daft Punk cube.

You mean triangle?
I have to confess, my friend dragged me to his show last time he was at Metropolis, like 3 years ago.
It sucked. Left early. I was BY FAR the oldest guy there.

lol poor deadmau5
Deadmau5 got punched by a DJ @ an afterparty in Brisbane, Australia
I think what deadmaus is trying to point out is the reality of the industry .... just like the financial market .... the music industry is full of boodsucking douchebags who find ways of extorting hard working individuals
Just look at wallstreet as an example ... they control all that money but all their pays and their services and their bonuses do not contribute in anyway shape or form the the GDP of a country
Its just a legal form of robbery ... like the music agents and any agents for that fact
If it was fair the management and agents would get a small percentage and the artist would keep the bulk of his earnings not the other way around

its not so much bad as it is random....its like he just threw every genre he could think of in a bowl and his cat drank it and puked it up in a hairball.
