markus can do what he wants....

he has nothing to prove to anybody anymore

He is still highly respected through out the industry
hiram
cut the dude some slack. at the shoot he explained what the vision he had was. if you dig it then good if you dont then thats fine too. personally im not a huge fan of the vocals but i can understand the concept.

if the guy really wanted to go the sell out route he woulda made a track with the likes of Black Eyed Peas or some like that.

Exactly why I thought why he even HAD to explain himself.

True fans will support him no matter what. He worked with people who inspired him, I'm sure most people haven't ALWAYS liked EDM - hell I also love rock so if I was an artist & was able to work with a band I loved why the hell not? It's not like he's doing a Tiesto changing his style completely, going out & doing stupid concerts or just showcasing himself like it's a popularity contest. He made 1 video, give the man a break - he's always been true to himself & kept his own sound which is not something I can say for ANY other DJ out there right now. Markus is unique, always has & always will be.

Errr stayed true to himself? He used to be one of the coolest underground Progressive DJ's out there. He decided to chase $$$$, switched to commercial Trance and followed the rest of the superstar DJ's out there, turning his back on Progressive.
He's now doing the same thing following the Pop DJ's trying his best to make Pop records. If he was making the track because he loved it so much, why make a video (with himself in it)? Videos are made to hit a more mainstream market place, MTV etc. That's why he stars in them himself, because he wants to be that famous person. Would you ever see Sasha or Digweed in a cheesy video. No because music comes first to them.

I used to work for Sony, EMI and Virgin music managing bands/pop stars, I know exactly what he's doing and the route he taking. His management are doing the same with the rest of the guys they look after.

Hahahaha underground djs are the ones that dont have what it takes to get to the next level....The way I see you're just another person we can add to the haters list. God forbid someone wants to make something of himself :toothless

If Markus had only made the vocal version, I could understand some of this hate he's getting. But he made a version with no vocals...in fact, he made the version with no vocals first, and so far that's the only one he's really played at gigs or on GDJB.

So all this criticism and hate about the vocal version is just getting annoying. He hasn't even come close to forcing it on anyone.

It's there. He made it for fun. Listen to it or don't. It's your ing choice.

Hey man, being the photocopy guy does not count as "working" at all those places.
MeLLyMeL
Yeah, I agree Markus can do what he wants and he is allowed to do something "unique".

I don't agree that he has kept his own sound because his last male vocal hit was absolute and sounds more like he went the Armada route with that one..
