I just see so many possibilities here if you're asking me.
First, let's talk about Simon Patterson. He's definitely not an Arab, which when I am making choices about how I enter a tranzystate of mind it most certainly does not involve terrorism. Well, at least not Arab terrorism. I don't get euphoria from a mosque, I get it from Anjunabeats. Or Armada. Or Simon Patterson. Who I'll assume is Dutch. Or Jewish.
From the pictures I've seen of him he has some pretty sick tribal tattoos which you can usually only get those after like ten years of hardcore trancing, which in this economy is pretty tough. I'd venture to say the beats that he makes (if you were to do the math and then divide by the golden ratio) have the most euphoria to time signature ratio around and I'm not talking just about F-16. Nah, I'm talking more about his collaborative efforts with the likes of whatever the name is of the other guy from Cosmic Gate, specifically Firewire. And Racecar Driver.
In this I hear a lot of new ideas. Doors being opened.
Second lets talk about the environment. This is Atlanta here.
There's a lot of culture here. Many subsections. A lot of dichotomy. We have the best music. The best buildings. The best terra cotta novelty gardening pots (for those who are lucky enough to live near Candler Park). I haven't been out of here much. And I don't need to. It's Atlanta. And with this influx of imported talent who know their way around a DJM 800 AND PIONEER CDJ 2000 OR 2 I don't really see the need to.
I have this feeling like many problems are going to be solved what with this show. I have good feelings.
