Vagina (pg. 2)

So I just watched the docu -

I think overall it was pretty crappy - it's basically one woman imposing her own opinions and morals on other people, and she's far too emotionally involved to make it really journalistic.

I think anyone who wants to get surgery should be able to, but I do think sex education could be improved and approached more as 'sexual self awareness education'.

The issue is broader and deeper than the vagina (puns not intended) - it's fundamentally about self worth and body image. There are probably plenty of women who can bypass surgery with therapy or better education when they are younger, but there will always be others who just need to do it first.

But seriously, literally everyone modifies their body in some way for all sorts of reasons, whether it be working out and building muscle mass, pumping lips, injecting botox, getting hair transplants, wigs, toupees, tummy tucks, piercings, boob jobs, nose jobs, etc, etc, etc.

This woman judges other women for wanting to cut down their labia, but I'm sure she has pierced ears and watches what she eats...

Also, it seems like she has an idea that there is nothing ugly. The truth is, disgust is a highly developed evolutionary survival mechanism. Aesthetics are also an evolutionary mechanism which helps in the selection of mates, as well as shared emotional experience and intrapersonal bonding through the experience of beauty. In other words, some women have ugly snatches, and some men have ugly dicks. That's just how it is.

And it's also worth noting that what may be ugly to one person may be beautiful to another. But it's ridiculoius for this woman to impose her belief that no one should have aesthetic preferences for their partners' genitals.

Except it's a vagina.

It's a body part like any other. I think to treat it differently than any other body part is merely perpetuating the taboo.

And this shouldn't be an issue of sexism. There are plenty of men who like a variety of vaginas, and plenty of lesbians who are particular.

I dated someone (who slept with women, mind you) who really wanted to get this done, despite my best efforts to tell her that hers was beautiful the way it was. In the end it's whatever makes you happy, as long as you're not hurting anyone else.

But what should be taught to women (and to all people for that matter), is that, if you have people in your life making you feel bad about your body in any way, you need to dump them and surround yourself with people who value and celebrate you for who you are.

omg, 10 min

Am I the only person that likes big vagina lips? Or at least medium sized ones... the hot dog like ones where they don't have lips I don't find attractive really. That and sex feels a bit better when they have lips.

for me personally it doesn't matter. i think a person's attitude makes them hot or not. if a girl loves her vag, i'll love it too, and if she doesn't, i'll make her.

but i'd never judge someone for wanting cosmetic surgery on it if it made them happy.

That English chick at 10 mins had a hot box, what's her problem? Stupid whore.

Avana, pick one. You can't be a woman and a hippie.

Pick one.

it annoys me how the British refer to the vagina as "bits" and "twinkles". they sound like 6 year olds.

The woman narrating it is totally unprofessional. She's like, really condescending and judgy. It's clear what her values are, and I can see her point but she should be a bit more impartial imo.
