firefox question

recently switched back to firefox after chrome was being a always crashing the shockwave plugin. until they fix it im sticking to firefox. anyway i kinda got used to the way chrome behaves and firefox is of course a bit different. not a huge biggie but im hoping someone has a solution for this or can point me in the right direction. i googled unsuccessfully and went through the firefox faqs and help but couldnt find this issue.
specifically whats really bugging me is the auto complete search feature in the address bar. for example when i starting typing "google" in the address bar to go to google.com of course, well as im typing it before its complete say 'www.googl' it will bring up suggestions. the most frequently visited first of course. problem is the suggestion is mail.google.com when i didnt type in mail.google... i typed in www.google. a better example is when i want to go to netflix.com i start typing 'www.net' and rather than the first suggestion be netflix its actually trackitdown.net. well wtf? it totally ignored the order in which im typing in. i dunno anyone who types in address like .com.tranceaddict.www. thatd just be retarded. another example is when i want to go to bestbuy.com i start typing www.best and it brings up www.dancetunesradio.com beceause the site description is "the best electronic dance music 24/7/365". THATS BULL!!!!!! its searching the addresses in parts rather than as a whole string. theres gotta be a way to fix this. it should just search the website address start to finish, not in parts and defiantly not the ing description. with chrome i never had this problem.
hopefully i explained this well enough so any ideas? |
