Yes, also fans changed as they loved the late 90's early 2000 stuff and blame Armin, Ferry and Tiesto for the changes (which I still think is stupid, too much honor for a DJ). Out of curiosity does anyone think these Djs have sort of 'abandoned' their old fans, and taken the 'commercial' path for more fame/success?
Since millions still follow Armin, Tiesto, Ferry, PVD, do u think majority of these people are old fans that have adapted to the change in styles or new 'mainstream' fans?

Good question. I imagine it is really hard to remain on everyones good side. It seems like the minute you get any kind of success the people who listened to you before the success automatically think you've sold out. I'm not saying every single person thinks that way, but I've seen it happen in several cases.

It's no so much about becoming successful; rather, whether said artists blatantly altered their output to gain more success with the mainstream (re: become more 'pop', jump on trendy bandwagons, etc.) is where accusations of selling out come from.
