This track made me cream my pants. Sounds like something from the 80s, but to my surprise it was from 2008.
This thread is about the great sound of Italo and Synthpop. Anyone got more track like that? Seems like people are still making that type of music and I just don't know about it.

Best italo tune ever.

2008? Welcome to the 10s (!). The age of 80s revival in music. Almost all of the hipster stuff in pitchfork is 80s or 90s inspired. Anyway, there are some good revival stuff...

So here are some favorite retro 80s synth-pop/new-new-wave (!)/chillwave tunes of lately

Typical 80s new-wave by elite gymnastics

another one by ariel pink, although the guy's style is usually more 60s/70s psychedelia made electronically. He uses only analogue equipment as well and an old recorder. His latest album was the work of a genius in a true 60/70s prog-rock style. This one is from one of his older works and more...80s

These guys from denmark had an excellent album lately. Fantastic vocal performance as well

Something between 70s krautrock, 80s synth-poppiness and boards of canada. Pure win ofcourse

A bit darker stuff in the style of old-school depeche mode. They only play analogue synths.
