yeah the lesouk party was legendary. i remember it was my birthday and i didn't have a guest list spot but was literally the first person in line and the bouncer actually vouched for me and convinced them to let me and my friends in...that dude was the man! ahh memories.
would love to hit this one up too since i barely go out anymore but 150 bones? ouch |
I remember how it was for the Le Souk party, Swamy stopped answering messages at one point, lol. Got myself a spot last minute, but decided to stay home in the end.
I guess the $150 cost is alright if you're a drinker (who doesn't drink at least $100 in alcohol on any given night?), but since I'm not really one, I'll be skipping this for the B-pitch showcase (which was EPIC last year). |

Not at all.
In all honesty, if you're saying this it's prob because you're bitter that you can't afford it.
I've had some chats with some people that do parties, and I very clearly remember one where someone was thinking of combining the underground party concept with the underground dining concept. I think it's genius, us music freaks are growing up and I, for one, am getting tired of the nasty warehouse, crackheads everywhere type of party. Getting a little more refined is not a bad thing.
If I could, I would totally go. Combining my two loves for good food and music is a total win for me. The more I think about it, the more I want to go, but I don't really see a way to justify this expense when I'm trying to get some things off the ground and also have a few trips planned.
I could get someone to take me, but then again I'd rather be treated to something that will be enjoyed by both, so I'll save my energy (and money) for my trip to Vegas at the end of July where I'll go to Cochon 555 followed by a late night at Drai's for strippers and house music :D |

| for sure! increasing prices is something that we're all going to have to get used to, unfortunately, in this industry/scene. i don't see any of my friends doing this so if i get picked i'll post here and be more than happy to bring whoever is down! |

$150 is pretty much right on the mark for a popular headliner with openbar and food anywhere. This is what the Sander K cruise in Miami was. Now consider it's NYC, July 4th during the fireworks, they could get away charging a lot more honestly.
I'll be coming home from Ibiza that afternoon so this would be a great way to keep the afterglow going. I wanted to use my roofdeck to watch the show from Queens but I think they're only doing the Hudson River this year. Jersey man, it should be the East River if you're only going to do one.
edit:
My GF just got the invitation. She RSVP'd two days ago I believe. It was indeed $150 + $4~ fee
You can pick up two at a time, though the other person still has to RSVP as well. |
