Age is also kinda a bad way to judge, @ 20 when people are adults... they may just stay the same throughout their life. Once your 20, your brain is set, Thats who you are, People don't change. What if your still a hipster when your 60, and schnobs who are 20 think they are too good for you because of their elusive youth. I'd feel insulted. Cool old people say "F**** the youth culture. Because your whole life is ahead of you, your beautiful, and us old farts are just the 2nd banana, just a bunch of ppl sitting around waiting to be creamated, Well you !!!!*(Y^&^(*(&*^"
So, i'd say. Careful who you judge. BTW. Some old people have alot of power. Because theyve been accumulating it over time, just like you would if you were smart. For young people. Life starts when you get laid, and for older people. It starts when you pay off your mortgage, which is usually @ 40 for the average joe.
Your whole idea "hey who likes my music and is my age" lets b friends. Isn't reality. Theres a rennaisance writer who wrote a series of essays, His name was michelle de montaigne. In the 1500's people were uneducated and didnt live to be 25. Michel de montaigne completed his essays around 40 years of age, and died @ 50, Because he was an elite, he got to live alot longer than most people( his friends who mostly died around 20 years old from disease and war),He could not be friends with the other elites as they were scumbuckets, he could of made it far in politics but decided not to bother because his rare sense of morality prevented him from putting people @ risk for a bunch of lies, so in those days, not wanting to lie to hurt ppl made you insane, and he couldn't do the politics because he was exceptionally a humanist/genius. The old bastards were sending IGNORANT -20 year olds to war in the rennaisance. Using religion in that time for conquering the world, which succeeded until the 1800's (birth of freud, nietzsche, pavlov,) coincidentally.(smrter ppl came when the BS ended)

Anyways, So he sat in a tower in his estate and wrote. He wrote about life, and never got recognition for it.
Point is, im 20, and the most influencial character in my life is/was like 50, and lived 529 years ago. You do need a good brain to understand the way he writes, but its not so bad. Easier than nietzsche and not as bad as heideggar.
I dont give 2 fux if someone worth talking to is 60, lived 1000 years ago, is a m/f. Simply because im smart enough to realize that none of it matters. So, go ahead and talk to those people you ignored based on your false bias, and get off of this website, because it may aswell have any title. People aren't what they like in terms of music. They are their morality. |

aaaaand you are ing wrong. There is nothing wrong at all with trying to find people like yourself who want to do the same things as you. I have a group of friends I party with. I also have work friends (we go to bars, bands and parks) and I have friends I do sports with.
And lise, you were calling him out (incorrectly) on trying to find friends around his age group to party with. You got the range wrong...and you also did it yourself (with your close group of friends). And i'm calling you out bc you'll love me regardless....and you need practise now that you are a hot-shot defence lawyer <3
And speaking for myself, I probably wont seek out the original poster because I am 27 and have been partying for 11 years. A 20 year old just starting out would not fit in with my lifestyle...or my friends and would probably annoy me with all the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed eagerness (npo) |

I wouldn't call myself a 20 year old just starting out as I've also been hitting up clubs since I was underage to see certain DJs when they came into town. I usually get along better with people who are older/more mature since I find myself to be mature for my age but I still think it's a little odd to be hanging out with people 10 years my senior, which is why I'd like to find some people closer to my age with similar interests. |
