In NY when u fight it, they usually at least reduce it if your story is believable enough or they knock off the points and just make you pay the fine.

I wouldn't fight the ticket if I was sure that I was going over the speed limit.

Enjoying wasting your own tax dollars by fighting a ticket you know you deserve.

If I KNEW I broke a traffic law, I would rather do more constructive things with my life than wasting many hours of my time, the cop's time, the judge's time, etc.

If I felt I was given a ticket in error (for example, I believe that I made a full stop at a stop sign), then I would feel that fighting the ticket was morally justified.

While I see where you're coming from, honestly the government jews us for so much other stuff (taxes etc), you might as well at least try to lower the fine. Thats just my opinion though.

I would like to be clear that I (like most people) don't agree with and/or follow every single law, but I am willing to pay the consequences if I am caught and I know that I broke the law.

If I don't like the existence of a particular law or the penalty for breaking that law, I have the ability to petition my elected representatives to change that law or change the penalty for breaking that law. Most people don't want to spend the time to do this though.

Was driving 82 in 55 few months ago, got caught and went to court. 0 points and $192 fine.

I'd consider that a win.

Yes, i broke the law and was speeding but i was driving along the traffic. Guess the judge agreed that wasnt that bad of a violation. Got another speeding ticket after that , then i just bite the bullet and paid the fine because i knew i didnt have a change of fighting it. After those two i'm too afraid to even drive along the traffic nowadays so guess i learned my lesson lol

Not bad.

Just pay the fine and ask for traffic school. I dislike giving my hard earned money to this broke ass state that mismanages their finances. Don't give them a reason to pull you over next time. I try not to speed anymore, the CHP owns the road 24-7, do I like it of course not? I am always skeptical of any society that inclines itself to aspire to be a police state. The cops are not your friends and never will be, they push state and political agenda to earned those overpaid bonuses they get. they always seem to show up to take your money at the lowest point in your life. good luck bro

Who do you think pays for the courts and the judges' salaries? The taxpayers. Fighting a ticket costs everybody money. And we Jews hate paying more money than we have to.
