| I've been to a few Cubs games, and I must say, it's much more fun to attend a baseball game in person rather than watch it on TV. I can think of lots of things I'd rather watch than televised baseball. |

Any sport is more fun to attend in person than watch on TV. Do you enjoy watching swim meets on tv? |

I've been to a few baseball games while in America, and when you're there, it becomes 'food, drinking, banter, oh and there's some guys playing baseball in the background somewhere'...which, you know, is a decent activity, but it doesn't give much in terms of a compelling sport in my opinion.. its also because there are 150 odd games a season, aren't there? hardly makes each match meaningful. |

There's 162, so yeah each game isn't that meaningful, but it's not like they don't matter. Making the playoffs or not can come down to a game or two. Also the caliber of team they're playing matters, as well as who's pitching, etc. There's tons of different factors that go into making baseball interesting, but that's just my opinion. It's obviously not for everyone. |

Sure. I normally hate attending swim meets, to be honest, unless it's like Olympic Trials or Worlds, but I don't have the cash or interest to go to those. Watching stuff like the NCAA Championships on TV is highly entertaining to me, because I've been there, I know what's fast, what's not, and who is going to be the next great athlete in their event. But I can see that is why you also don't mind baseball on TV. |

yeah yeah, that's fair play. depends on, obviously, the culture in which you were brought up, if your family is into it etc...with two scottish parents, an appreciation of baseball was never really instilled upon me |

Between baseball games, hockey games, basketball games and soccer games ive gone to...id rate hockey to be much more entertaining to watch live then the rest, with basketball second, soccer, then baseball. Funny part is im a huge american football fan, but id have a feeling it wouldnt be as fun as watching a hockey game live.
Ive been trying to get more into baseball, but its really in hard when its a naturally dry sport with little going on. |

there's rarely more than 3 or 4 goals in a game. |
Thats just the defenders doing their jobs. Sure, get rid of the defenders and there would be more goals, but who would watch that? |

There's actually a lot going on, you just don't know what it is. |
