Oh, wait, I just noticed I made a cross-linguistic brainfart. By dubious I meant "potentially gay", not "apparently non-existent".
My bad.

try stopping a 100 mile an hour slap shot you can't see through traffic, and after covering the rebound getting plowed over by a few large men trying to push you into a net all while getting a few hard smacks with a composite stick on the unprotected part of your hand to get you to release the puck.
or
try out running a saftey for 30 yards in double coverage and stealing a pass that either 3 of the people in that part of the field could grab (all while playing smartly as to not get concussed by a blind side hit while jumping in the air...note to self i didn't play smartly)
or
playing SF and trying to box out a player that is way bigger than you to get an offensive rebound while eating their elbows to your head.
or
playing sweeper and having the need for impeccable cardio to cover the most ground on the field for 90+ minutes (well not if you get subbed out) all while destroying your knees from abuse and shady challenges.
These are all sports i played (baseball just for fun, not competitive.) Yeah standing there and swinging at something is so much harder and requires so much endurance and skill :sarcasm:. Yes it is impressive to hit 90+ miles an hour pitches, I will never argue that...the reality though is that any hockey player with a good set of hands could do it to, in fact they practice deflecting a smaller object with a thinner stick moving just as fast daily.
Basball players have skill, so do chess players...as far as athleticism goes, they can't even compete with the fake WWE guys....its the simple truth.

I don’t care how much skill something takes necessarily (ie NFL is awesome but it doesn’t take too much skill to be a fat on the defensive line) but baseball is just ing boring to watch. Absolute snoozeville.

Deflecting a puck is a lot different than making solid contact between a baseball bat and ball. Both are round, so you have to hit the ball almost perfectly square on to put it in play. As per pkc using KOs as a testament to support his gay sport of fags running around in short shorts, try this.
Try getting hit in the face with a ball travelling well over 100mph with no protection whatsoever. Batters get hit in the head all the time, pitchers get hit in the head every year, catchers get run over at home plate while they're standing still. But yeah, there's nothing physical involved in baseball. Tell that to Buster Posey.
Try just standing still while a grown man runs full speed directly into you. That play broke his ankle and he's out for the season.
Nothin' gay here.

he barely knows baseball. I would argue that hes never played the game past rec league at his local park. maybe played some wall ball in elementary school sprinkle a lil soccer baseball on top of that and you have srussel's baseball career. But he has every upperdeck baseball card where a player was featured with their shirt off thats for sure.

...for athletic purposes of course...

to be fair, i never played baseball more than that either....chicks didn't baseball players here, baseball players here were usually the guys who didn't make it on the manly sport teams.
