Only took 3 game 7 to get the Holy Grail! Canucks, they didn't deserve it, GO Bs! So hangover, I won't be doing anything at work today. 7 major championships since 2002 - Titletown, USA.

It would have been a travesty if Vancouver had won the Cup. Their play on the ice lacked passion and drive, and Boston really deserved it.
Except for game 7, that was the most vicious Stanley Cup Finals I've ever seen. Awesome how the teams went at it. Congrats Boston. Good to see an Original Six team win the cup.

It doesn't matter, win or lose. They rioted in Montreal after they WON the cup. Lotta issues them Canadiens.

People are way too into sports lol. It's not that serious.

Only US NHL to ever have to deal with a riot was Buffalo, so New York (state) had to deal with one ;)
L.A has had to deal with riots because of basketball. I wonder what other cities has had riots because of sports.
At least this thread is more civil then the one on realradio or wtv.

I went to college in Massachusetts. Every town there likes to riot for any particular reason.

yeah? How many riots Boston had since 2001 or prior to that for that matter?

I definitely remember seeing a bunch of people flipping cars, lighting fires, etc. after the Red Sox beat the Yankees in 2004's ALCS, and again after they beat the Cardinals a couple weeks later. When they beat the Yankees though, that was by far the craziest rioting I've ever seen...
At UCONN in 2004 I saw the same thing when their men's basketball team won the NCAA title.
When the Red Sox won again in 2007, there was a little bit of rioting but nothing compared to 2004.
Aside from those 4 events, I haven't seen much else in New England (definitely some congregating after the other big wins, but nothing major).
I wonder how it'd be if a Boston team won a championship at home, something that has not been done out of all 7 championships in the past 10 years.
