this just goes to show you the difference between Markus last weekend st Beta, plays an extra hour comes down to the floor to take pictures with fans shake hands even stops by outside in the back to take pictures with people (thanks Markus :) ) oh and yes there were glowsticks in the crowd and everyone had a blast. Im not even getting into the music part of it since Tiesto is the biggest joke there is.
I understand Beta wants the big names to play there but what a letdown this will be after Markus took the decks last weekend. |

As much as Tiesto might not be for you and some people on here. It is probably one of the biggest honours to have him play your club.
He also sells tickets a little better then Markus. Loved the night with Markus and loved his set. He is also an amazing guy, but its not fair to knock Tiestos evolved sound. He clearly is doing something right when he is selling out our venue in less then 60 seconds. |

Your venue isn't all he's sold out these days :p
But yup you're right as far as music is concerned different strokes for different folks and to each their own. |

This. He's not selling because of his "evolved sound", he's selling because his name is Tiesto and its the first name that comes to mind for any untz untz gino ****** wannabe who knows nothing about EDM and used to jam to his in high school. He hasn't done anything revolutionary in an extremely long time.
Bottom line is Tiesto's an egotistical prick - a real DJ plays for the party, and if glowsticks are how people want to party and have a good time then who the hell is he to stop them? I will never pay a dime to see him largely because of his ty attitude. |

Hey I'm not knocking you as a promoter for bringing him. Its your choice and probably a financially smart one. You are a business and your bottom ilne should be to stay out of the red and make some money.
I'm knocking him as a DJ for turning his back on the roots of our scene. People aren't coming to see him cuz of his "evolved sound", they are coming to see him because of who he is.
Best of luck on this party. I still would love to make it out to Beta but your mid week parties are just not workable for me at the moment, especially for someone like Tiesto. Shouldn't you bring him on the weekend anyway when you supposedly market yourself to a more generic fan base? |
