| Yes, but I'm also fully supportive of union labourers having collective bargaining rights and I don't think it's fair for those to be stripped. The lockout is stupid on Canada Post's part, but the strike is completely valid as far as I'm concerned. |

the only thing that is affecting me is all the cards i sent from poland will be lost.

I'm waiting for a whole bunch of (what was) time-sensitive that I bought online, as well as some business/tax paperwork, but I'm making do without it. I bet UPS and FedEx are making a ing mint right now. |

The chick that delivers the mail to where I work was telling me that they get almost 2 weeks a year sick leave time, and you can bank them indefinitely. She's been with Canada Post for so many years that she can technically take more than 1/2 a year off... paid. Oh and I also love the part that if they can do their route in speedy time and get back to home base early, let's say 12pm, and continue to work after your delivery... that's considered overtime. Not bad getting overtime after you've only done 4 or 5 hours !!!
No wonder some of the changes Canada Post wants to make is upsetting the union. Who would want to loose some of that ??? |

more than 50% of the payments are still made by cheques!
