MAN what a mix! I haven't been this impressed by a progressive psytrance mix since Domesticated's Contact. Mixing was oustanding, and the flow was probably the best out of any prog-psy set, up there with J00F. You got some serious talent, dude. This mix was unbelievable. I must say, while the last track was pretty cool and unique, I would have preferred a bigger, more stomping track that would just blow me out of the water, your flow set you up perfectly for it so you should have finished it strong! Absolutely killer set, mate, this is going to get many plays from me. I'll keep an eye out for future mixes.

ziptnf, wow thanks man. July edition on the way ;)

Also had a good listen through this, overall I enjoyed it and your mixing was very good, was it CDJs or Ableton/other software?

My qualms were that you chose tracks from a group of artists who produce nearly identical music, and while they are very good at what they do sometimes I like something a bit different to break a set up. 'Mecha' did change the mood a little however, and the last track was a good finisher.

Also, nice to have a cue sheet but kind of pointless for me if the mix won't fit on a CD, you were just a few minutes over. Looking forward to the next.

zakquiney, thanks for feedback. I'm using software but who cares about that. Also I making cues for scrobbling tracks from set on Last.fm but not for burning on CD (I just don't using CD's/DVD's).

I count 12 different artists and 6 different labels. That is still great variety for a mix with only 14 tracks, especially in the way he was able to set the mood. Yeah, he used 2 tracks from an artist in a lot of cases, but I think his programming was simply fantastic, similar artists or not.

Why would a cue sheet make any more difference by being on a CD? You can track the time playing on a computer, you know.

I've pretty much lost faith in this kind of music. However, even before reading ziptnf's post I was interested in this; the tracklist looks great. Downloading now.

Magnus has helped me a lot with my production skills. Good to see other DJs using his tracks.

I must say, mate, this mix wasn't as good as your last one. Flow was a bit up and down in the beginning. You should have played Psy Tribe directly before playing Midnight Express. I know it's taboo to play the same artist twice in a row, but your flow would have been helped out by that. I don't think the first half was very exciting at all, most of the tracks were dragging along and I just wanted the second half to start already. Tracks 8, 9, 10, and 11 were a great stretch of proggy/full-on goodness, but the two tracks following that ruined the set for me. I didn't like the last one at all. I have a tendency to love full-on, but that track was one of those with no real new ideas.

I'll keep listening to your sets, but your first one set such a high bar, I'm hoping it can be passed!
