agreed that they are nice guys. but there have been instances where they hog the decks. Demi was playing at Ecco one night and they kicked him off the decks 45 minutes into his set. quite disrespectful.

Ben Watt told us his worst experience in his life is having them open for him and they played banging electro house trying to upstage the headliner.

So now in his LA rider, they can't play.

I've got be a little careful about what i say as one of my best mates, is really close with them....

....but, the reason they got big is mainly because of gimmicks and timing.

They got lucky in terms of timing as the LA hip hop scene died (as a lot of hip hop has in general) right at the time when as the rise of PAPS and their douches became the big spenders at clubs and it started being about overpriced bottle service in small expensive clubs to cheesey music (because they wouldn't know good edm if they heard it).

So they certainly didn't bring house back to LA, that's a ing joke - promoters like Giant, compression, insomiacs, circus and avaland did by making an effort with good talent bookings. I watched LA turn house friendly over the last few years and that was well before I'd even heard the name EC twins.

AFAIK, they only started DJ'ing a few years ago and only very recently learnt to produce, and even then it's with assistance.

They're not bad DJ's as such, but they play a lot of lowest common denominator crap and are just doing the SHM thing, and marketing themselves in exactly that way - doing Ker-azy things while DJ'ing and having people film them trying to do rock star things in hotel rooms.

It's weird to hear that they did that to Demi though - I know him and he's an really nice guy and truly passionate about music. I can't imagine anyone, let alone the EC twins, pushing him off the decks before time.

Wow. He's a gone a little quiet recently, but I would have put Demi as the bigger name anytime.

They were asked to open for Desyn Masiello at Ecco, but too many people on TA wrote they wouldn't go to the show if that were the case, so the promoter had Desyn play the full 4 hours.

These guys play for me all the time and are super nice guys that are very humble and love what they do with a passion.....like us.

The entire venue and staff always has a great experaine with the boys and at the end of the day they deliver plaion and simple........everytime.

I am willing to bet that if you stuck the Twins in a room of 200 black people that loved and listened to blue grass, they would find a way to make the like EDM as well as dance to it by the end of their set.

We should be thanking them for turning all the big bottle buyers and poeple who no nothing about EDM into fans because it onlu helps us all in the end.

Either way they are both my friends and I thank them every day for helping me educate all the people on this planet that are cluess on what we all love so much...............dance music!

this is amazing!
