| Armin actually comes across as a nice guy, and he seems to love the music he plays, and has stayed true to what he consideres "trance", whether or not the rest of us like it. I don't know that he should be considered a "wanker" just because he's famous. |

Actually, I believe he was quoted saying otherwise. He said he plays trance because his fans/followers like it. He mentioned something along the lines of that if he were to play the music he liked, it would be weird and downtempo, or something like that.
There was a thread about it in MD a while back. |

So he wants to be John Digweed but is scared of losing his moneys?
Well, at least he still seems like a nice guy. :/
EDIT: And chances are, when he has his kid he'll probably back away from the scene a bit. I just don't think he belongs on the list with SHM, Tiesto, and Oakenfold. |

I can't be bothered finding the thread, but I'm sure someone can link to it.
To be honest, I couldn't really care less. The guy is treating it as a job, and he's making serious $$$ from it. Good on him  Lots of people like what he does, and there are far worse jobs out there, that earn far less money than he's pulling in.
Lots of people don't like what he does, but I bet he doesn't give a , lol. I wouldn't either :p
