I wonder if the group is going to protest something else now.

Yeah, like more shock absorbent roads.

I've never really understood how a helmet can save your life when a car slams into you on a motorcycle. And, most are very uncomfortable and isolate you from the outside in the same way that a car does. This negates the entire purpose of driving a motorcycle in the first place. I hate any law that is put into place for no reason when there are no victims besides the person making the personal choice. Such as helmet laws. It was his choice to take the risk, he died. Oh well, good for him. It shouldn't hurt the cause though.

laws are made to stop retards killing themselves, and more importantly others. If everyone was able to follow their own rules on the roads how do you think that would go?

People getting killed, on the road, or anywhere is never about one person; 1: makes a huge risk for other people on the road if some idiot crashes on the road, and 2: People who liked the guy probably wouldn't be too happy he's dead

its not even about hitting your head and dying. Its about hitting your head and becoming a vegetable and soakin up disability for the rest of your life. Thats what helmets are there to stop

I was going to say this. If you're brain dead or have some sort of severe brain damage, you will not be able to pay for your treatment. The hospital will be obligated to treat you for the rest of your life. The cost inevitably gets past on to the general public.

If you required them to pay triple their insurance premium they they'd probably be riding helmetless to protest that or simple lie on their insurance form and we would be back at square 1.
