There is a HUGE boxing event in vegas this weekend, you dont see the UFC hosting a HUGE event in vegas to go head to head with it. instead ufc is hosting their event next week in a completely different state(co), and these arent even the same sport whereas MM and EFW are both edm massives. |
There is only one Saturday on Halloween weekend. |

why can't a festival promoter hold an event on the same day as another promoter? |

THEY can but aren't you the least bit disappointed you won't be able to put to use the comp guestlist you would receive for each event? If the paying public is disappointed surely the people who can go to these things for free is disappointed they can't take advantage of attending both. |

nearly all of your posts have some underlying objective of freeness associated with it. You worry about getting something for nothing entirely to much my friend. |

| I think the scene in socal is easily big enough to handle 2 big Halloween massives and the HARD show. They each won't make AS much but i'm sure they will all still come out ahead, and the shows themselves will probably be better for it because they won't be as much of a cluster. |

Not at all in this thread. The companies going head to head is going to distribute the patrons to different events. The last post was my 2 cents on why someone like billy who has ins everywhere would probably be in agreement with me on not having all these events on the same day, they would not be able to experience it all.
So now with sasha at avalon, I don't expect much of an effect but had avalon been d5 then youre really spreading things thin for the typical massive attendee...
I'm sure a lot of you guys who have gone to wmc have had to miss out on great parties based on schedule, but wmc is one jammed packed week. |

Mentally, sure, but avalon doesn't really have the capacity to put a huge dent in attendance at the massives. |

| If Insomniac wanted to make a dent they would have released this line up two months ago when Armin Only was still up in the air. The electro/drug crowd is all they can hope for at this point. Armin Only is going to be one massive cluster, but at least people all over North America will be there and imo a much better crowd.
