Should I start getting into video games?

Who's into video games here? I don't want to say i grew out of it but im 24 now and i stopped playing video games since i was 20. Playstation 2 is getting interesting with all the great batch of games out there. Also there is the xbox which didn't impress me much but it can in the future. Grand Theft Auto 3 is easily my fave so far since it's a freedom type of game where you can just go around do anything you want. my friend has it and it's a blast to play.
what system shoudl i get? is it worth starting a video game collection now even when im at my age? 50 bucks a pop per game is almost steep for me to afford. i might feel guilty and rather spend it on new cds, or someting for my dj equipment. i don't know
what do you guys think?? with all the technology and how fast it is going out there, it is really confusing on what system will last the longest... |

| i'm 19 and i just bought my ps2 three weeks ago , trust me it's gonna be the best thing u will do in ur life (ha ha) :D and GTA3 ownz so go ahead and buy ur ps2 it's only 199 US |

Hey Aldrian, have you ever played Shenmue? It gives you a lot of freedom too (though you'll get frustated at times)
Available for Dreamcast and some other console (Buying a Dreamcast isn't a good idea unless you like the other games that were already released - they won't release anything else after 2002) |

My only two video game station that I ever owned, was the original Atari and the Original Nintendo. After that, I grew out of them.
But,....PS2 looks pretty impressive. Some games are for 18 and older crowds, such as grand theft auto. I know some friends who are in their late 20's and they are addicted to this thing. Go ahead and go back into playing video games. But don't say that i didn't warn you about the addiction. LOL, If you go to school, good luck graduating. |

| I would buy a PS2 JUST for FINAL FANTASY! I LOVE that series and can't get enough of it! It's a shame that Shenmue 2 will be going to X-Box (Except for UK and Japanese DC users, THEY GET IT ON DC!). I LOVED that first one and I want the 2nd... Well, looks like I'm going to have to get BOTH, PS2 and X-Box. Also, Gran Turismo 3 is worth buying a PS2 ALONE. GREAT GAME! GET IT! |

| I would say get a ps2 or a gamecube. if you decide to get into video games, it's going to take up a lot of your time :D |

yeah ps2 is pretty cheap now. wondering if it is going to get lower anytime soon.....probably not for another 2 years. some games are like 20 bucks only. twisted metal black looks pretty bad ass to me. get myself a multitap and play with my buds
im gonna go ahead and think about it. if i don't buy any more cds for a while.
also i don't like the word nerd or dork or geek associated with video gamers because the video gamers i know are all normal acting people. i have seen those so called "nerds" where they recite lines from games and act it out sometimes.. |

buy a mod chip for ps2 and then download the games and pay only the price of the cd to burn it onto

I got the Import one for the DC...I'm sure you can order it somewhere...It's so better then the first one :D |
