Tampa is the nicest city in Florida, IMO.
Right on the water, and St. Pete is right over the bridge.
Beautiful beaches, a major sports market, a descent clubbing district, historical sites, museums, good restaurants and of course the typical touristy attraction that Florida is known for. Tampa has is it all.
The Florida weather gets boring though after living here for some years. I actually enjoy an occasional hurricane to spice things up. |

I always liked Orlando as a teenager on vacations because they had a radio station that actually played trance. Back then such things were mostly unheard of in the US. They also had good arcades and stuff. And seemingly less rednecks than the panhandle.
Everyone I've met that's from Tampa is a bible-thumper (moreso than Atlanta), so it's probably not my kind of place. I've never been, though, so I can't really judge. They also have the Bucs, though. the Bucs. :p
If I was gonna live in Florida, it would likely be the Keys... and that's not REALLY Florida. |
