I think hinduism is awesome. even tho im not religious im very thankful im hindu.

i dont really believe in god, but i do believe in a higher power. and all the indian festivals are not about god, they are more about unity of people, people coming together and celebrating life for what it is. I cant even tell how much fun all these festivals are. Playing with firework, kites, colors and watercolors haha.

In Britain at least. Every British person I've known who's embarked on a "world tour" always makes India a top choice. Why I have no ing clue. They could pass through Central Asia (the ex-Soviet union Stan countries) countries and experience far more interesting places without anywhere near the level of hassle, overcrowding, poverty, filth and cultural alienation. In every street corner in the UK there seems to be an "Indian Restaurant", and I've heard of celebrities embracing Hinduism, such as George Harrison and Russell Brand. Seriously, what the are they thinking?

Ah - the ol 'no one else should like it because I don't like it nor do i understand it' mindset : no point arguing with you then.

well it may be grotesque, but to suggest it's uniquely grotesque or gaudy compared to artof other religious or cultural expressions is absurd.
