I don't think his music reflects his thoughts about the trance scene. His latest tune "Torture Chamber" is generic and boring imo

He has used the same kick and bass in every tune he has ever done.

Askew is one the more credible trance DJs left out there. I remember really liking his Lower The Tone album when it came out, although I haven't listened to it for about five years now.

The trouble I have is that he's now in charge of Perfecto Fluoro, and all this "going back underground", " mainstream trance" rhetoric can't help come across as a marketing gimmick. Especially when his label is putting out electro-house remixes of PPK - ResuRection as part of their "underground" manifesto. It reminds me of how the videogame industry has divided itself into the "hardcore" and "casual" spheres, to try and market these moronic, paper-thin interactive action movies as sophisticated narrative experiences for "hardcore" players. Just another way of repackaging a substandard product - compare it to something even worse and use rhetoric that denies any possible alternative.

And Perfecto Fluoro are distributed by Armada, for 's sake. Way to keep it underground, guys.

Christ, first Jay, now I am siding with System?

Seems like Satan will skate to work tomorrow.

But good points all round J Man.
