I think Kaleidoscope is pretty awful, too. I am not familiar with Tiesto's entire catalog, but my moderately informed impression is that the man is overrated. I loved the second disc of Nyana but found the first spotty. The two ISOS CDs I have by him didn't thrill me. |

I love two of those, "The New Daylight" and "Distant Earth." I have issues with the latter, but I still find it excellent. I don't think it's fair to call either one pop. I listen to enough pop to know the difference, and I also know they couldn't stand a chance at pop radio. I guess of the two, "Distant Earth" is closer to pop. Glad to see another person wasn't thrilled by "Future Memories," though, |

I'm pretty hurt by the mentions of "The New Daylight." My feelings are irreversibly hurt. I am obsessed with that CD to this day, and it is one of my favorite from any genre. It's pretty mellow by trance standards, I guess. But it's very atmospheric. The melodies are gorgeous. And the vocals are great and effective. I understand a lot of folks hate vocal trance in general.
What I consider to be pop trance is folks like Kim Sozzi. Listen to "Feel Your Love," a guilty pleasure of mine despite being cheesy as hell.
I think David Guetta's "Nothing But The Beat" deserves mention in this thread. Not as bad as "Kaleidoscope" but approaching it. "Human After All" was pretty awful too. I used it for two tracks. |

| How about John O'Callaghan's "Never Fade Away." I personally take the title as a serious threat. "Unfold" is no gem, either, but it's better. O'Callaghan's vocal trance is like a parody. I don't know how he ranks so high in these polls. |
