Worst Albums Youve Heard. Ever. (pg. 9)

There isn't really an album I "hate". I even like bits of Kaleidoscope ("Feel it in my Bones", for instance), but I can tell you which albums disappointed me the most:

Armin Van Buuren - Imagine. As the follow-up to "76", this just let me down in a lot of ways. No where near as good.

Tiesto - Every artist album he's made. I mean really, considering how amazing his compilations were, you'd think his artist albums would be great. Nope. I don't know why I kept buying them. A few good tracks here and there, but mostly a huge meh.

Eagle Eye Cherry - Desireless. I bought this CD because of "Save Tonight". That's the only good song on it.

Logic Trance 3. Good-looking tracklist on this random compilation I bought way back when, but it just left me bored. Couldn't get into it.

Trance Party 4. 1 and 2 were fun cheese, great for driving around and what-not. 4 is just boring cheese.

Keane - Perfect Symmetry. They were much better at rainy day music.

The Stills - Without Feathers. Is this even the same band? Their third album was good, though. Still no match for the first.

Like I said, none of these are "horrible" or make me wanna stomp on the CD, but they were disappointing to me at the time. If I went back and listened now, I may even enjoy them.

Not like she's musical genius lol, but she is an okay singer.

The Beginning is terribly produced, terribly written, and just frankly, terrible. The only Black Eyed Pea who has an ounce of talent is Fergie and they drown her in Autotune anyway.

I think both Fergie and Will.I.Am are talented. She's still a very good and versatile singer. But Will.I.Am has lost his way. I blame him for helping David Guetta suck so bad now. "Nothing But the Beat" is really spotty to me. Guetta said that was his mentor as a producer.

See, what you're doing now is pandering to an audience, because you know that 90% of the people on EDM fan-sites are effectively convinced that they can't like any pop music because it's "manufactured trash" or "talentless," which is true sometimes and not others, but a pretty stupid rule of thumb all things considered. So, by posting that, you're just hoping to get people to agree with you. It's like going into a Sony Store and talking to them about how bad XBoxes are.

Have you considered the less complicated possibility that I just disagree with you? I think you like it so much that you find it difficult to believe anyone who gave it a fair chance couldn't, but it was polarizing from the moment it leaked. You could've said the same about the Black Eyed Peas -- they're pop, aren't they? -- but you happen to agree it's awful. It becomes OK to hate it. lol I know people pretend to dislike genres to be cool, but I tend to think of "cultured" as reflecting broader tastes, not narrower ones. I don't really think you can gauge nearly as much about a person from knowing they dislike a single album as some people let on. I would've posted the same thing in a pop forum, as I have, except you'd have to invent a brand new form of presumptuous character assassination. Perhaps you'd pin the vices of previous posters there on me and make me into a closet, jaded Britney fanatic for the hell of it. I don't know.

If you bother to read the previous page, you'll see I've already said I listen to a lot of pop. So much for jumping to conclusions. It's not that I'm pandering -- you're prejudicially subjecting me to generalizations you've formed about people you don't like on EDM forums, which I just started reading, because you're too invested in your own opinion.

I find "Born This Way" to be terribly overproduced to the point that I can't get into it or appreciate the melodies. I don't think it's all that well-written, either. Yes, she has a beautiful voice. I loved "The Fame," and I liked "The Fame Monster" a lot.

I like "Government Hooker," which I don't consider any lyrical feat. I like "Edge of Glory," which rips the hook to Cher's "Song for the Lonely" pretty damned hard and has some cheesy production. I like "You and I," except that I hate the cheesy electronic effects she added to make it fit in with the rest of the album. I also like "Heavy Metal Lover." I don't play anything else. But I do like the stripped-down version of songs like "Hair" when she does them live. I can appreciate the melody.

I haven't found any of his artist albums except Kaleidoscope to be bad. But outside of "Elements of Life," they've all had some notable potholes to me that disrupted the overall flow of the set.
Voci
Richard Durand - Wide Awake

Its funny how somebody got "big" with a certain sound, then tried to go down a more 'pop' direction with a bad album as result (Always the Sun), who then tries to go down an ever more poppy direction and delivers a second album thats even worse.

You wrote that? Damn funny nonetheless!
