Should I just get a soundcard or new computer?

Ok so I produce on an Acer 5534 laptop. No external soundcard or anything. Just a built in crappy soundcard. Two JBL LSR2325P speakers that are pretty good. Computer runs okay, I don't have a lot of complaints.
However I'm considering buying a Macbook Pro laptop as I have heard a lot of good things about it. It seems to have everything that I need.
I can't decide what to do. Should I just buy a new soundcard for my Acer laptop or buy a Macbook? Also any solid suggestions on low-latency, high quality external soundcards for laptops? Mind you I am on a budget, as I am your typical college student. Thanks. |

The cables are great! I've been able to make instant with those. What would I do without them!
But buy an audio interface.. because laptop jacks are no-no |
