I borrowed a Seb Fontaine cd of a friend two summers ago and that got me into trance. I thought it was one of his Prototype cd's but I didnt find any of the songs on there. The cd that got me hooked though was Tiesto - Summerbreeze.

George Acosta - the one with angelfalls track 1.

The first one I picked up was PvD- Vorsprung dyk Technik off of a recommendation by a friend. Needless to say it is still one of my favorite CDs (all 3 of them even though i'm partial to disk 3) ^_^.

This is actually a short summary...

Robert Miles - Dreamland was my first Trance CD but, I didn't know what it was back in 1996. The CD that REALLY got me into electronic music was the Sega Saturn version of Wipeout. You can play the music on your CD player! There were 10 tracks (02 - 11, 01 was the data) and they're awesome! I got that on 1998-08-22 and I still listen to it pretty much today. Vicious Vic - Capsule is what introduced me to DJ mixes, as a whole. I never heard a mix b4 and this was my first CD that was made like that. I loved it and in 2000, I played it more than 1200 times! I got that on 2000-04-24. Logic Trance 4 and Trance Global Nation 2 followed a year later.

When I got a PC and got on the Internet on 2001-09-17, I decided to use WinMX for my music and get some Push tracks. I got those and punched in Paul van Dyk... I saw a lot of live stuff and I was wondering wether u could buy this in a store or not (I never saw this type of thing before). I saw a file that was 547 minutes, 35 seconds long called "KFC One TranceParty 2000 (feat. Rank 1, Paul Oakenfold, Marco V, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, ATB, DJ Tiesto, Sasha).mp3". Since it was 94 MB and I never DL'ed that big of a file before, I decided to give it a go. After all, it was over 9 hours long! So, it's worth it! THAT'S where I became addicted to Trance and live sets. For the nest 6 months, I tried to get everything by these artists/DJs. I got a lot of stuff since then, but, that one file paved my way to music that I love more than anything I ever heard before! Thanks, whoever put that file out there! Without it, I wouldn't have gotten into REAL Trance for a while!
