Worth it or no?
Got into a bar fight tonight. Some idiot was acting dumb to my girlfriend's friend so I stepped in to make him back off. Guy has like 4 other friends that come out of nowhere and one gets a cheap shot in then all hell breaks lose. Security breaks it up pretty quick and we get escorted to our cars. Nothing serious for me, but one of the girls did get smashed in the middle of everything.
Not really sure if it was worth it, as I now sit here with a cut lip and and my girlfriend's friend is bruised up. However, I'm a firm believer of standing your ground. Just can't let idiots do whatever the they want with no consequences or at least confrontation.
Obviously there's no rules in fights but the guy who came outta nowhere with a blow was really cheap. They already had me out numbered, I would've had to stand down.
Would you have done the same, not even confronted the guy at all, just give him a piece of your mind, or...?
P.S. - Would've murdered that if his boys didn't step in. Had a good 20 pounds on him ;) |

I have no problem confronting drunk people when they're out of line, but I never get into a fight. Defusing a situation is easy if you know how to. I've learned this from not being the meanest mf out there and working in bars/clubs.
What exactly did you do to make him back off? |

The guy kept swinging his hand at the girl's skirt to lift it up a bit so I just grabbed his arm and threw it back. Got in his face and we exchanged a couple yous and then POW. |

You made it physical. Go up to the guy and ask him to stop. If necessary position yourself in a way that makes it impossible for him to continue whatever he's doing. Grabbing an arm and throwing it away is a sign of aggression. You started it. |
