I went and had a great time. The only time you're going to see production on that level is for something like EDC. I've seen Tiesto several times the past year, and in terms of his set it was not much different from the others. The vibe of this party was pretty good, I'd look out to the dance floor and see people actually dancing rather than just being zombified.

W T F it's all I have to say.. Scratchin Tiesto off from the "Giving DJ a chance " list.
The crowd he attracts and all that Dubstep he's implementing on he's sound was pure punishment to my ears. I really wish I could've sold my tickets but then I wouldn't have gone through this experience and would've made this mistake down the road.

At last, the set had no direction, a lot of noise, and rude freaking crowd.

It made the Dubstepers happy for sure.

This was just how I felt after seeing him at the Shrine last time. To think that I have 5-6 Tiesto shirts, a jersey and 2 jackets, but now wouldn't be caught wearing any of them. Time to sell some on eBay before everyone figures it out!

I also have a new tshirt rule: no more than 2 shirts per DJ, except for Above and Beyond, they are just too good and I can't see them selling out! :)

Out of curiosity, I think there were only 2 Floor access entrances?.. If there were 2, I came in through the SE entrance. It was total chaos in there. It Took me about 1 hour to get to the floor ( got to floor at 8:20 just before Tiesto). Besides kids sneaking tours the front of the line in masses.. it came to a point were kids started jumping down from the seating area and started to jump through the blocks, a good number of kids got tumbled by event staff and security around my area.
As far as what Tiesto was playing in the beginning and all this remixes, I don't know it was either some very electro stuff borderline dubstep lol.. but w.e. it was it just wasn't what I was expecting out of Tiesto. :)

that's strange it took you that long... we had not wait when we went down around 9-930.

and glad to hear the people jumping on the field got caught...

i don't remember Tiesto playing any dubstep but a the guys before him all did...

Idk how floor access sold out cause it was half full but I'm not complaining cause I was probably 20ft away from him and I had plenty of space to dance. The whole show and venue reminded of EDC at the coliseum. Overall a good show.

the fire marshall dictated the # of tickets that could be sold with floor access and they hit that #.

At Avalon last night, around around 1am - 3am I met a bunch of ppl with tiesto bracelets on who had come from the show. They were mostly around my age. I was asking them how the show was and heard good things. Was funny to see them going totally bonkers to Matthew Dear's set (which was good!). The group I met all left around what must've been 3:30 or 4. Told me they got to Tiesto around the time it started. What a night for them haha

we did the same thing! got to Tiesto around 530-545... partied until it ended then continued on in private after party in the stadium club until 1/130... then headed over to Avalon! and yep Matthew Dear was really good. Funny how we had a blast at each event yet they were so different!

Oh yeah the guy before hime ( Diplo ) was pure Dubstep.
Like I said w.e. it was it was some out there electro sounds with dubstep feel .. I'm not into that kind of music so i must be misinterpreting ( So forgive me if I have hehe ), but it did sound a whole lot like Steve Aoki or Afrojack does that make sense??

I was expecting too much out of him heh. Oh well.. I tried :)

And yea I don't know man maybe I hit the rush tours the floor.
Plus I was surrounded by etards spraying stuff on their eyes and shufflers, then again I was front centered heh.:) .. plus watching a girl pee on the floor next us didn't help hahaha... I shouldn't have settled in a spot but rather looked around for the pocket of "seniors" lol

Got there at 5:45, pregamed in the car till about 6:30. Took us about 45minutes to get in. They were holding up the line for a bit. Thank GOD we didn't have willcall, that line was ugly.

Music wise, I personally thought it was better than his Weds. night set at the Shrine a few years ago.

I heard no dubstep from Tiesto, lotsa electro/house. He kept it hard with really no fluff. My friends enjoyed the show. Can't believe he played back to back Traffic into Adagio. I enjoyed that part.

Face it people, its called CollegeInvasionTour.. not OldSchoolPartiersReuniteTour.

My girlfriends and I stayed in the back of the floor. Plenty of room to dance and away from the crazy kiddies.

BAR SUCKS ASS. Not enough of them. No liquor bar on the floor, only beer. Had to walk up those flights of stairs was a mother to get another drink. BARCLOSING at 10PM with no decent alcohol. BOO.

I had a great night. This might sound crazy given what other people post in here, but I personally think the crowds Tiesto draws are usually a little less ravey than other DJs. A lot of people seemed to be there to just enjoy the music. There was some glowsticking, etc. going on but definitely not on the same level as other DJs out there.

Production was great - awesome stage set-up, good security. The will-call lines were BS and took a bit too long; none of the security people knew where to send me because I got my tickets from tiestotickets.com. That should have been smoothed out.

Other than that, I thought the event was put on well and I thought Tiesto put on a good show. I do miss his trance days but there were still a lot of recognizable tracks and some hard stuff. Maximal Crazy, a song that I didn't like at first, really closed out the night well. Looking forward to Armin Only!!!

yeah Diplo did play a few dubstup tracks... and a touch of hip hop for a moment as well... but he always plays that kind of stuff so he didn't do anything unexpected.

i had no idea some people had crazy delays getting in... we did go of a more vip route with zero wait to get in...
